ANIMAL CRACKERS "IS FEATURED AT REGENT.
The crowded midnight matinee audience at the Regent on New Year’s Eve will retain many happy memories of “Animal Crackers," Paramount’s sparkling comedy, which commences a week’s season at the Regent to-day. The four Marx brothers are remarkably funny. Repeated bursts of laughter greet thfese brotherly comedians over every silly but vastly amusing “stunt” they try; they are referred to as “the nuts that made lunacy a pastime.” Groucho. the garrulous globe-trotter, Harpo, the hilarious harpist, Chico, the carnivorous crook, and Zeppo, the zestful zaney, these four brothers are supported by the merriest crowd of wise crackers, safe crackers, nut crackers and heart crackers that evfer romped on the screen in one picture. “Animal Crackers” is all nonsense and very silly, but it is very funny and scores definitely as a particularly entertaining comedy. During the holidays the box plans will be at the Regent.
