Miss G. Harris (South Canterbury) is a guest at Warner’s Hotel. Mr and Mrs P. Maggs, Brisbane, are staying at the United Service Hotel. Mr and Mrs J. Dunlop, Invercargill, are guests at the Clarendon Hotel. Mr and Mrs E. M. Lovell-Smith are spending a holiday at Otira. Mr and Mrs J. J. Mr and Mrs G. F. Lomas, Wanganui, and Mr Leslie Scott, Dunedin, are the guests of Mr and Mrs M. S. Brown, Webb Street. , Mrs Reeves, late of the tea kiosk, Botanical Gardens, has taken over the lease of the tea kiosk in the Botanical Gardens, Brisbane, and will leave for that city this month.

Mr and Mrs Hoffman and son, who resided for some time at North Beach, returned to Christchurch on Tuesday from Sydney, where they have resided for the past four years.

Miss Thelma Mickle will return to Akaroa to-day after a fortnight spent with her uncle and aunt, Dr and Mrs A. F. J. Mickle, Nelson Street, New Brighton. Miss L. A. Wheeler, an American journalist, who is touring New Zealand, will return from the south on January 9, and will leave for the West Coast next day. The marriage was celebrated recently at Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford, England, of Mr C. E. Low and Miss Olive M.
