BRIGHT BROADSIDING PROGRAMME ARRANGED.
In a series of attractive events, visiting champions from Australia and England will compete against the cream o* Canterbury broadsiders at Monica Park Speedway to-morrow night, and exciting racing may be looked forward to with confidence. The return of George Greenwood. the sensational English rider, is an event in itself. He will appear in scratch and handicap races, and
will make an attempt* to* 1 regain th« record which “ Squib ” Burton wrested from him last week. In addition to Greenwood the two Australian cracks, Ben Unwin and Bert Jones, will compete, and the cream of the Canterbury broadsiders will figure cn the programme. There will be first and second division handicaps, a New Year scratch race, an attempt on the record, and a novelty event which should be an even greater surprise than that of last week. There should be no dearth of thrills and close finishes.
