BY-ELECTION FOR EAST BRISTOL SEAT FIXED.

A writ for the East Bristol by-elec-tion was issued to-day and polling has been fixed for January 16. Sir Stafford Cripps, Solicitor-General, is the Labour candidate and Mr Edward Baker the Libera! candidate. It is not known whether a Conservative will contest the seat.
