Mattson, Dominion champion, was the outstanding feature of the broadsiding at the Western Springs speedway on New Year’s Eve. Mattson was in good form and beat Kempster easily, although he started from the outside position. F. Bond, the other Englishman, had trouble with both his machines. C. Anderson and J.
