GIRL WRESTLER CATCHES AND OVERPOWERS THIEF.
(United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) PARIS, December 31. A burglar, Gustave Beaunville, struck a Tartar when he entered the bedroom of a twenty-five-year-old girl, Marie Grancichet, who is a practised wrestler. She sprang from her bed, hammerlocked the intruder and the pair rolled down the stairs, Marie grimly keeping a stranglehold till the police arrived. Beaunville pleaded that the girl had sufficiently punished him, but the Court did not agree and thought that five years’ imprisonment would be a more fitting punishment.
