5000 WORKERS MAY LOSE POSITIONS

The announcement that from 5000 to 6000 retail employees will have to be dismissed if the anti-rationing clause of the Forty-four Hour Bill becomes operative was _. made by the retail Traders’ Association. The Minister of Labour and Industry, Mr Baddeley, will receive a . deputation from the association on Monday, when strong representations . will be made against the Government proposals.
