CALROD ELECTRIC RANGE ELEMENTS SAVE ELECTRICITY.

The average electric range element weighs about 71bs. A Calrod steel electric element weighs only about lib. More electricity is required to heat a 71b cast iron element to cooking heat than to heat a lib Calrod steel element, because in the case of the cast iron element there is seven times the weight of material to be heated by the electricity before the heat is available for actual cooking. This is why Calrod elements eliminate the preliminary wastage of electricity while bringing the element to cooking heat. A large saving in electricity is obtained when heating a Calrod element for use, but this is not the only saving. Practically every cooking operation finishes with the element at cooking heat, and in a cast iron element when the -cooking is finished 71bs of metal are left in the range at cooking heat and the electricity used to heat that 71bs of metal to cooking heat is wasted. When using a Calrod steel element only lib of metal instead of 71bs is left hot in the range when the cooking is finished, and this is why Calrod elimininates wastage of electrical heat. It is thus easily seen why a Calrod steel element is far more economical than the old, obsolete, heavy cast iron type of range element because it takes less electricity to heat less mass, and leaves less electric heat unused after cooking is completed. Proven by actual test Calrod hi-speed electric range elements are at least 25 per cent faster and are at least 25 per cent more economical in currnt consumption than any other electric range of similar capacity on the market. Calrod elements are obtainable only in Hotpoint Hi-Speed Ranges. Full particulars are __ obtainable from The National Electrical Eng. Coy. Ltd., 150, High Street. 1800
