REDUCTION MADE IN PRICES AT MAJESTIC.
In view of the present-day conditions, an unprecedented and popular step has been taken by Mr Harry Waters, genral manager of Christchurch Cinemas, in regard to the prices for admission at the Majestic Theatre. Realising that the public have found it difficult to attend talkies as often as they would have wished, Mr Waters has reduced the prices of admission at this theatre to what are, probably, the lowest for this class of entertainment in the world. To enable parents to take their children to evening performances Mr Waters has made a special cut, so that children may attend at half-price. He points out that formerly parents were compelled to leave their children at home when attending the talkies, but this is obviated by the new scale of charges. This step has been taken with a view to testing the feeling of the public in the matter, and the management have every confidence in the scheme.
