N.S.W. COMMUNISTS REFUSE TO PAY FINES.
SYDNEY, November 28. A number of Communists who were convicted of taking part in an illegal procession in Sydney, on November 7, had fines imposed upon them varying from £1 to £3 each. They decided to go to gaol. Some will join the hunger strikers already there. Insults were hurled at the magistrate and the State. _ The Communists arrested in connection with the recent Parliamentary dis- * orders have not yet been dealt with. A motor-lorry travelling rapidly through the city to-day carried several Communists with red flags, but the police made no attempt to stop it.
