TAXI-DRIVER STOLE PASSENGER’S LUGGAGE
DEPRIVED OF LICENSE AND GIVEN PROBATION. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, November 28. William George White, aged 41, a taxi-driver, was to-day deprived of his license for stealing a woman passenger’s luggage. On the theft charge, he was admitted to probation for twelve months and ordered to make restitution of £6 13s. “We cannot have a man like him on the road as a taxi-driver,” said the Magistrate, Mr F.
