MY OWN APPEALS IN FEILDING CUP.

FORM REVIEWED FOR TO-MORROW’S MEETING. (By MARTIAN.) The Feilding Jockey Club’s spring meeting to-morrow and on Monday will be one of the attractions in the racing world over the week-end. Stibng fields are the order of the day, and should provide first-class sport. Disrank Appeals. Proceedings will commence with the Waituna Hurdle Handicap, in which Disrank, on his showing in the Port Cooper Hurdles at Riccarton, when only Make Up beat him, promises to play a leading part. Royal Damon won nicely at Waverley, and this fellow is more than useful when in form. Democratic, the top-weight, was a winner at T'rentham, while Royal Acre is expected to improve on his Trentham showing. Call Again accounted for some good fields during the jumping season, and is sure to have a following. Form points to DISRANK, with ROYAL DAMON a likely second leg. Laconic Reads Well. There are some promising sorts in the Aorangi Trial Plate, and there is plenty of room for a surprise. Trentham form points strongly to Laconic, who dead-heated with Paratoo (a good winner at Riccarton), a nose behind Jayson. Baskier may find the distance troublesome, but Flute and Futurist have both given indications of speed. Attar did not race up to expectations at Levin, but may improve. Knollmere looks a likely sort, while Pewa has raced consistently for third money in each of his last three starts. LACONIC looks the best, with perhaps KNOLLMERE the pick of the others. The Cup. There should be a fine race for the Feilding Cup. Merry Damon did not race well at Riccarton, and he w’ill go out paying a remunerative price. Bright Glow is a solid mare, who has considerably improved since she raced at Trentham. Grecian has soared in the weights as a result of his three wins and a second at Riccarton, but it is doubtful whether we have yet seen the best of him. If he is as well as he was at the Cup meeting he should again be in the picture. My Own has jumped up a bit, too. but her Metropolitan success was brilliant, and she should be capable of handling 8.4. Lady Pam is a good sort, liable to bob up, while Shrewd, with H. Gray up, is bound to be in demand. He has not run a bad race this season. and must come strongly into calculations. Of the others. Imateagirl. with another run away success in the Levin Cup, will have a strong following. The race bears an open appearance, but MY OWN and SHREWD should be handy. Toxeuma Fancied. Despite his failure in the Stewards’ Handicap at Riccarton, Toxeuma looks

like having a big say in the decision of the Feilding Stakes. Supremacy is very well, with a brace of seconds in as many starts, in high-class sprint company. Hunting Day is another with good prospects. Lower down we come to Gesture, with 7.11 will make the others carry their weight. She ran sound races at Riccarton, her fourth in the Stewards’ being a fine effort, and she should now be at her very best. Korokio is a smart two-year-old, but she has been laid aside for some time, and may need a race. Tenterdc-n is capable of springing a surprise. One cannot go past TOXEUMA and GESTURE. A Riccarton Winner. Miss Hastings defeated a solid field at Riccarton, and she should be seen to advantage in the Kowhai Hack Handicap. Auctioneer was unlucky at Levin, while Tunbridge should be just about ready. Acmil is one of the improvers with a useful record. Grand Jury showed promise earlier in the season, while Charmaline is consistent. Hawkshaw is a good one to follow, liable to turn up any day qow. Easterly and Nightmare were both winners at Levin, and should go on to further successes. Auckland Gas may be the surprise packet. MISS HASTINGS and AUCTIONEER read well. First Money Again. First Money and Broad Acre fought out a good finish at Levin, and it looks as if the former will again prevail in the Flying Handicap. Acora will have hosts of friends, while Coon Song is nicely weighted with 7.6. Of the others, Bonogne may be the surprise packet. Form points to FIRST MONEY and ACORA. Callapat Improves. Callapat is improving with ever}’ race, and he should make things merry in the Fitzroy Hack Handicap. Bayacre and Arrowhead were winners at Levin, and should again be prominent. Fitz Quex, Royal Routine and Orapai are recent winners, the best of whom may be Orapai. Projection, on Riccarton running, would be more suited by a longer journey. CALLAPAT and ORAPAI look the best. Paiko Worth Following. Paiko did not run up to his best at Levin and is worth following in the Kiwitea Handicap. Malayan will be all the better for his race at Levin, where he ran well. Maui showed earlier in the I season that he has plenty of pace, and he may bob up again. Arikinui has not yet raced up to last year's promise. Te Awha and Arisus are likely lightweights. PAIKO and MALAYAN should be close up.
