WEDDING.
Milner—Peters. t The marriage was celebrated recently at Holy Trinity Church, Avonside, of Ethel May, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs R. I. Peters, Avonside, and Ernest Stuart, second son of the late Mr and Mrs J. Milner. The ceremony was performed by the Rev O. Fitz Gerald, and Mr Arthur Lilly presided at the organ. The bride, escorted by her father, wore a pretty frock of ivory satin, fashioned with long fitting bodice encircled at the natural waist-line by a narrow belt clasped with a diamante buckle. The long sleeves were finished with flared cuffs. Her tulle veil, edged with lace, was arranged under a circlet of orange blossom buds. She carried a bouquet of cream roses, freesias and fern, with touches of blue. Miss Hilda Batson, as bridesmaid, wore a delphinium blue floral georgette frock, with long sleeves and cape collar. The skirt fell ankle-length in an uneven hemline. Iceland poppies and sweet peas composed her bouquet. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr Lawrence Milner. On leaving the church, the bride was presented with a lucky horse-shoe by her niece, Marie Peters. . A reception was held in the Avonside Schoolroom. Mrs Peters, the bride a mother, who received the guests, wore a black crepe de chine frock relieved with fawn, and a black hat. She carried a posy of pansies Mrs E. Jones, the bridegroom’s aunt, wore a frock of navy crepe de chine, with a hat . o match, and carried a bouquet of crimson roses.
