World Of Mirages.
OEEING is not believing, according to the ° scientists in the-Byrd expedition to the peak of the world. “ Small objects look larger,” they say. “ One man mistook a shoe for a seal. As there is no visible horizon, everything appears distorted. Carmen Land, reported by Amundsen, must have been a mirage, for no such land exists. The sun looks like a spin-wheel and everything seems unreal and unearthly. Alirages are everywhere.”
