LODGE MEETING. The N.G., Brother A. A. Kayes, presided over an attendance of sixty-five members at the annual meeting of the Loyal City of Norwich Lodge, held on Tuesday evening. The election of officers resulted as follows:—N.G., Brother J. B Gilder; V.G., Brother L. B. Scott; elective secretary, Brother W. C. G. Taylor; inside guard, Brother J. Bradley: outside guard, Brother E. M. Dovey; warden Brother M. J. Scott; auditors, P.G. Brothers G. C. Taylor and J. H. Flynn; hall committee, P.G. Brothers J. Taylor, J. H. Flynn and W J. Toomey; Benevolent Association, P.G. Brother W. J. Toomey; United Friendly Societies Council, P.G. Brother J. H. Wiliams. The following motion was passed unanimously:— “ That, in view of the prevailing depression and the fact that there are in this lodge a number of members who are unable to keep their contributions from falling into arrears through no fault of their own, the secretary- be given discretionary power to advance to these members a sum from the benevolent fund, sufficient to make them financial on the books of the lodge as at November 25, 1930, and that it be understood that the amount so advanced be repaid by the member as and when his circumstance* permit.”' Wesley Girls’ Fireside Club* The last meeting for the year of the Wesley Girls' Fireside Club was held at the Methodist Parsonage. The members of the Bluebird Fireside Club (Christchurch) were the guests of the evening, and a most enjoyable time was spent with games and competitions. Items were contributed by Miss A.
