YOUTH SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR MURDER.
(United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Received November 27, 11.30 a.m.) MELBOURNE, November 27. Herbert Donovan, aged eighteen, was found guilty of the murder of Mrs Elizabeth Little, and was sentenced to death. The jury put in a recommendation for mercy on 'account of the prisoner’s youth. Mrs Little, a widow, was found murdered outside a cowshed on her farm at Stratford. Gippsland. Her hands and legs were tied with rope, and she had a gash in her head. The sum of l\o was stolen by Donovan, who was an employee on the farm.
