TO RELIEVE CONGESTION AT AUCKLAND HOSPITAL
(Special to the “ Star.”) AUCKLAND,’November 2t>. To relieve congestion at the Auckland Hospital, the construction of an additional block at the Auckland Infirmary, Epsom, for the accommodation of chronic and bed-ridden male cases was approved by the Hon A. J. Stallworthy yesterday. The building, which will probably be erected on similar lines to a block at present housing female inmates, is estimated to cost from £25,000 to £30,000, and will have space for 100 beds. Plans are being prepared immediately.
