SUMNER BROWNIES HAVE “ FLYING UP " CEREMONY
Yesterday on the lawn of the Pres byterian Church grounds at Sumner, a number of Sumner Brownies took the “Flying Up” ceremony to Guides. After the ceremony they saluted the captain, Miss F. Allen, and were each presented to the District Commissioner. Miss M’Hraith, who pinned on their wings. The ceremony was attended by all the Sumner members of the movement and the following ladies of the local committee, Mesdames W. 11. Nicholson, Fountain-Barber, 11. E. Crawshaw, T. Cook, C. S. Booth and I}. Gray. The other officers present were: Mrs R. H. Henley, Brown Owl of the Sumner Brownies, and Miss E. Barber, Tawny Owl. Mrs Gray presented Miss MTI- - with a bouquet of roses and the Guides afterwards entertained those present to afternoon tea.
