SALESMAN ABUSED POSITION OF TRUST.

SENTENCED BY S.M. ON THIRTEEN CHARGES. “ This is a case of a man abusing a position of trust, without the slightest excuse or without a single extenuating circumstance,” said Air E. D. Mosley, S.M., this morning in dealing with the case of Walter Scott Ettles, a butter salesman, who appeared for sentence on twelve charges of stealing 12161 b of butter valued at £75 14s 4d, the property' of various persons, and one charge of stealing the sum of £2O 7s Sd, the property of the Tai Tapu Dairy Company*. “ There is only* one punishment for such a man,” said the Magistrate.
