Power Restrictions.
To the Editor. Dear Sir,—On Wednesday or Thursday of last week a report was issued stating that the level of the lake at Coleridge had risen two inches, and there was heavy rain falling. The next day a person called at our residence and wanted to know if we would have our water-heater cut off. Now, he did not press the matter, but it seems to me that the responsible authorities are going a little over the edge with their power shortage restrictions. When it was pointed out to him that it was our only means of water heating, he seemed to think that it was only right to allow the apparatus to be disconnected. It is the hope of every citizen that at the power conference to-day these so-called business men of ours get down to tin-tacks, and give us back our street lighting. We are paying for it, and we are entitled to use the power when it can now be supplied in abundance.—l am, etc., DAYLIGHT.
