JOCK GARDEN ESCORTED FROM COUNCIL CHAMBER
REFUSES TO WITHDRAW REMARK TO MAYOR
(United Press Assn.— By Electric Telegraph.*—Copyright.) (Received October 15, noon.) SYDNEY, October 15. At a meeting of the City Council, Alderman T. Garden, the Communist, was removed from the Chamber by the Lord Mayor’s deputy. During proceedings. Mr Garden said to the Mayor: “This council is a deliberate farce and you are making this city' a farce.” lie refused to withdraw and was escorted from the chamber.
