I* orty members of■ the Quarter Board attended the quurterly meeting of the St Albans Methodist. Circuit held at the lecture hall of the Rugby Street Church. The cliair was occupied by the Rev J.. B. Neal.-, who was supported bv the Rev E. B. Chambers, the Rev F. 3' Read and the Rev J. Guy. Statistical returns presented by Miss CroasdaTe indicated a senior membership of 372. junior 106, Sunday scholars and Bib?* class members 4 97. The income for the quarter amounted to £327 14s 6d. Home and foreign missions and the claims of the “ Methodist Times " vero reported on by Mr L. L. Jones and Mr A. D. Hassall. An invitation to the Rev W. Rowe, of Auckland, to succeed the Rev L. R Neale as superintendent of the circuit * next April was endorsed. By unanimous vote, the Rev E. B. Chambers was invited to continue Tho work at Edge ware Road, several mamber** of the board eulogising the fine work in that district. • A -_ Williams, Mr W. Simpson and Mr A. 3*. Hassall were appointed delegates to the Synod, with Mr G. K. Andrew' and Miss Croasdale as substitutes. A motion was adopted pledging the hoard to render loyal support to tka L. B. Neale during the remainder of his ministerial term at St Albans Messrs W. Simpson and A, William * were selected to attend the Dunedin conference, to be held in February.
