MELBOURNE RE-ELECTS HER LORD MAYOR.
(United Press AsSn.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) MELBOURNE, October 9. Alderman H. D. Luxton has been elected Lord Mayor of Melbourne for the tlird year in succession. Alderman Luxton is a managing director, of M’Ewen’s, Ltd., but .< great deal of his time is given to his official duties. He is one of the youngest Lord Mayors of the British Empire, and held a commission as a flying officer in the war. In addition to his Mayoralty he is a member of a large number of outside committees and associations.
