The Clyde Robbery.—The Dunedin morning paper of August 16 gives the following particulars:—A telegram was received y-csterday morning by- the Provincial Government, announcing the fact that, with the exception of two bundles of notes, amounting to about £550. and a parcel of ;30oz of inferior gold, the whole of the treasure recently stolen from the lock-up at Clyde has been recovered. It had been secreted in four different places, extending over a. distance of fortymiles. The offenders are in custody. Suspicion attaches to a member of the Police Force who was stationed at Clvde, and a magisterial inquiry is to be held to-daw
