ST ANDREW S COLLEGE OLD BOYS FOREGATHER.

The annual rpanio<n of tins >'t Andrew* College Old Boys’ Association was field last evening. Mr W. A. C. M'Donald presiding. About 100 members attended. Proceedings wore opened by Hie honouring of the loyal toast, alter which Mr J. li. Dowling proposal th*- toast of “ The Board of Governors.” Re paid a tribute to Hie work of the board daring past vears, and urged all old boys to co-operate with the board in matter* which it was considered meant a. great deal to the advancement of the college Mr C. OglJvie. in responding, outlined events loading to the foundation of the college in 1916. and congratulated the institution on its success in attaining a. prominent position *.mong the second - ary schools of Christchurch. The toast of “The College” was proposed by Mr 1 1. li. Hamilton. Responding. the head master (Mr A. lv. Anderson) stated tliat since its foundation ,St Andrew’s College had made gotei progress. This year the roll had passed the 300 mark. This was a?i indication of the standing that the college had ia the community. From the scholastic point of view, very satisfactory result* had been obtained. On the sporting side there was every reason lor congratulation. Out of six Rugby football matches. St Andrew’s College had won four, drawn one ar.«l lost one. He considered that the future of the college was assured. and felt that the Old Boys* As- ; social ion could play a vital part in furthering the objects of the seb •“!. Other roasts honoured were "Football Club ” one “ Kindred Association.- ” At the conclusion cf the reunion, tlie annual meeting was held. The election of office-bearers resulted: —Patron, _\ir A. K.
