CAPTAIN BARNARD PLANS NEW 1700 MILE FLIGHT.
(United Press Assn. —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, August 19. Captain C. D. Barnard, who recently flew to Malta and back in 26A hours, now aspires to
breakfast in London and dine in Africa. He has provisionally arranged to fly the. 1700 miles to Tangier, from London, on Friday, and hopes to return in a total flying time of 22 hours. The Malta flight, lie points out, proved that it js possible for air
mail machines going to India and to Australia to avoid landing on foreign territory. The Tangier flight will solve a similar - problem for air mails to the West Coast of Africa, Tangier being an international port.
