RAIDING AFRIDIS RETIRE TO HILLS.
TRIBESMEN DEFINITELY DISPERSED BY TROOPS.

With the exception of a few small parties of tribesmen who are sheltering in caves in the hills south-west of Peshawar the raiding Afridis appear to have definitely dispersed and, in the Kurram area, air operations have been suspended. The Massozais have made overtures for peace, and the political agent will meet - their leaders to-morrow.
