The Public Service Appeal Board is at present sitting in Christchurch, and will probably conclude its local session about August 5. Colonel J. J. Esson is chairman of the board and other members are:—Messrs J. 11. Jerram, C. R. Andrews and A. S. Houston. When the Christchurch sitting is concluded, the board will go south. AWAKENED THOUGHT.
