Mrs R. F. Page (Ilawera) is staying at the United Service Hotel. Mrs R. Cox, Christchurch, is visiting Timaru. Mrs P. Hill, Christchurch, is paying a visit to Timaru. Miss Olive Kettle, England, is the guest of Mrs Harold Barker, I’cndalMiss Sybil Rutherford, Haydon Downs, is visiting friends in Christchurch. After spending the winter months in the North Island, Mrs Paul Mickle has returned to Akaroa. Mrs Algar Williams left yesterday for Dunedin to attend the Navy League’s annual conference. Miss Ellen Oliver, Invercargill, is staying with Mrs C. J. Treleaven, Armagh Street West. Miss Betty Bowen -will leave for Wellington to-night en route to Sydney, where she intends to stay for several weeks. The latest arrivals at the Hotel Federal include:—Mr W. Miller, Mr W. B. Watson and Mr A. Duncan (Dunedin) and Mr W. Allan (Balmoral). Recent guests at “ Ilanmer House,” Ilanmer Springs, include: Messrs Jamieson and N. Stewart, Mrs and Miss Seys, Mrs R. A. Ilarcourt, Miss L. Ilarcourt (Christchurch), Mr and Mrs Stewart (Fairlie), Mr S. Swindley (Oamaru), Mr Dickson (Christchurch), Mr Doig (Papatoetoe), Mr Allen Jack (Christchurch), Mr T. Menzies (The Poplars), Mr M. Douglas (Wellington), Messrs Harrison and T. M. Willis (Christchurch).
