Seances In The Dark.
To the Editor. Dear Sir,—ln a seance we try to use powers outside everyday use, therefore, to be in harmony we must be as free from all outside influences and distractions as possible. To some mediums it does not matter if it is dark or not, because it is not the ordinary visual powers that they use. I am not so sure about the veriest atheist recognising and honouring true spiritualitv. I have not noticed any “wishy-washy weakmindedness” about any of my spiritist friends. In fact, I have found them very sensible and strong-minded. In matters religious we can really travel only as far as our minds allow us, and if we want to go further we shall have to improve them. After all a broad and shallow mind will gather the most light and will not have anv dark places for the undercurrents of evil.—l am, etc., A.G.M.
