In the Magistrate’s Court to-day John Brisbane, aged thirty-nine, a labourer, was charged that on May 29 he broke and entered the premises of James Smith, S 7, Fitzgerald Avenue. He was remanded till July 5. Bail was not granted. “Is anything known of the accused?” asked Mr E. D. Mosley, in reply to counsel’s request for bail. ** A great deal is known of him,” replied the chief-detective.
