MATERIALS ON SITE OF NEW MALTE BRUN HUT.
All the materials for the or._ i of the new Malte Brun Hut have nowbeen conveyed to the site, but the actual work of building will not be commenced until the summer. The task of conveying the materials from The Hermitage up the Tasman Glacier and the steep mountain sides was a most difficult one, but the work of building the hut should be comparatively easy. This work cannot be commenced until the summer, owing to the weather being unsuitable during the winter and spring. The contract was let by .the Public Works Department to the Mount Cook Motor Company, Ltd.
