TO-DAY’S RECIPE.
ALMOND ROLLS. Ingredients: Half a pound of flour. A teaspoonful of baking powdei One ounce of sweet almonds. One ounce of ground almonds. One ounce of butter. Two ounces of caster sugar. One egg. Two tablespoonfuls of milk. Blanch the almonds and cut them in fine strips. Alix the baking powder with the flour, rub in the butter, add the sugar, sweet and ground almonds. Then the well-beaten egg and milk. Roll out lightly on a floured board, cut into three-inch squares, roll each square. Put them on a wellgreased tin and bake at once in a hot oven fifteen to twenty minutes
