At the. • fortnightly meeting of, the Christchurch branch of the W.C.T.U., Miss Henderson presided. A vote of sympathy was passed to the relatives of the late Sir Joseph Ward. It was decided to hold the jumble sale early in August. Alembers were asked to bring an aprbn or a bag to the next meeting for the stall at the spring fair. Correspondence was read from the honorary secretary of the Christchurch branch of the Cancer Campaign, who asked for helpers to assist at the street collection. Several members volunteered to help. After the meeting, Mrs Richards gave instruction to members in basket-making for the stall at the coming spring fair.
