BRIGHT TIME IS AHEAD FOR LOCAL INDUSTRIES.
“ It is only the secondary industries that are keeping a great number, of people off the street at present.” said Mr I. Woolf, president of the Canterbury Manufacturers’ Association this morning. Mr Woolf said that as far as he could see, the manufacturers in this country were in for a very good time. Imports were lessening and people would have to depend on local manufactures. Most manufacturers, all in fact, except those connected with the building trade, were very busy, and all looked for bright times ahead.
