The Christchurch office of the Canadian National Steamships has received word that the Canadian Challenger is due at Auckland to-morrow. She is scheduled to reach Lyttelton about July IS and then goes on to Timaru. Personal. Mr C. D. Graham has relieved Mr R. Campbell as second engineer on the Gale. Mr W. Mead has relieved Mr E. Gartner as first mate on the John. Argyllshire Arrives. Argyllshire, from Liverpool via North Island ports, arrived at Lyttelton this morning to continue unloading. From Lyttelton the vessel proceeds to Port Chalmers and thence to New Plymouth. Kent Due To-day. The Federal steamer Kent arrived at Lyttelton this morning from Timaru, to continue loading for West of England ports. The vessel leaves for Wanganui on Saturday. Southerly Weather in Cook Strait. Officers on board the New Zealand Shipping Company's Argyllshire reported on arrival at Lyttelton this morning that strong southerly weather was experienced across Cook Strait to Cape Campbell. The Kurow, from Wellington, the Kanna, from Westport, and the Foxton, from Foxton, were due at Lyttelton this morning, but the weather has delayed them, and they are not expected to arrive in Lyttelton until this afternoon.
