TEST GATE RECEIPTS AMOUNTED TO £6840.
The attendance at Lancaster Park for the second test match against Britain last Saturday numbered about 34,700, according to a report presented to the Management Committee of the Canterbury Rugby Union last night. The gross gate takings were given as being approximately £6840. In reporting these figures, the secretary (Mr J. O. .MGillivray) said that the attendance would have to be verified by other records. The gate takings might be £IOO out one way or the other.
