FAIRY THE ’PLANE FLIES FROM AUCKLAND.
Squadron-Leader L. M. Isitt, Officer Commanding the Hobson air base, flew a Fairy lIIF ’plane frc-m Auckland to Christchurch to-day. The ’plane left Auckland at 8.10 a.m. and arrived at Wigram aerodrome at 1.40 p.m., having taken exactly 55 hours for the trip. Strong head winds were encountered all the way, but otherwise the flight was uneventful. 4 The ’plane will be used to continue the aerial survey on behalf of the Maniototo County Council.
