GIANT HAILSTONES FALL IN NEWFOUNDLAND AREA.
ST JOHN’S (Newfoundland), June 26. Three lives were lost, thirty boats sunk and heavy damage to property caused by a thunder, lightning and hail storm in the Lurasden district. Some of the hailstones weighed ten pounds.
