NOTES OF THE WEEK.
1. The puppies were painted much better than I expected. David Guild’s attempt was really very fine. Well done! 2. Still more unsigned work. 3. A japonica fairy peeped- at me through a frost-covered fence this week. Such a happy little pink lady she looked amongst the glistening frost. 4. Elmwood School has forwarded a batch of essays for the Growing Competition, and there are also some lettuces coming in from the same school. Well done, Elmwood! 5. The Saturday page closes its copy definitely on Tuesday afternoons. Try to be in time. A.H.
