MALVERN COUNTY PLUNKET SOCIETY MEET
The fifth annual meeting of the Malvern County Plunket Society was held in the Hororata Public Hall on Thursday afternoon. Mr G. Grigg occupied the chair, and, also present were: Mrs H .A. Knight (president of the Malvern County branch), Mrs 11. M. Reeves (president of the Hororata branch), the matron of Karitane 1 Hospital, Christchurch, Mrs C. Woods and Mr H. Townshend (honorary secretary and treasurer), The annual report stated that the work of the branch was steadily increasing and much wider interest was being taken in its activities. The election of officers resulted:— President, Mrs 11. A. Knight (reelected) ; vice-president, Mrs John Deans (re-elected); advisory board, same as last year, with the addition' of Mr G. Grigg; committee, two delegates from each of the sub-branches.
The president, Mrs H. A. Knight, complimented the sub-branches on their various activities and expressed thanks to Nurse Finlayson for her assistance.
The matron of the Karitane Hospital gave an interesting address on mother-craft, and Mrs C. Woods, Christchurch, also addressed the meeting.
