WORK IN COAL MINES DISCUSSED AT GENEVA.

The International Labour Conference, by 75 votes to 33, approved of a draft convention fixing a day’s work in coal mines at seven and three-quarter hours, bank to bank. Australia and Canada agreed to the motion, and New Zealand opposed it.
