MINIATURE RIFLE SHOOTING MATCHES
The eighteenth annual Canterbury miniature rifle championships were held to-day oft the Christchurch Miniature Rifle Association’s range, Lower High Street. Thene is a large entry, and the meeting will be continued until 11 o’clock this evening. The leading progress results are as follows:The Wharton Match, eight shots and one compulsory sighter—C. Thom (Sydenham:) ts leading with the record shdot of twenty-tbrjse consecutive bull’s-eyes. Other scores are:—J. Edmonds (Sumner) 80, W. Guy (Cashmere) 79, A. H. Ragg (Brighton) 78, S. Nelson (Sydenham) 7Sr, A. M’Natty (Ashburton) 7S, G. Naylor 78.
