WOMEN HELPERS' LEAGUE HOLD SOCIAL EVENING.
An enjoyable guest evening .was given by the Christchurch branch of the League of Women Helpers yesterday evening at their club rooms, Chester Street. Vases of pink daises, heath and autumn tinted chrysanthemums were tastefully arranged in the room. Mrs O. Williams, who was in the chair, welcomed the guests. Mrs E. Roberts, job secretary, spoke briefly of the excellent work being done by members of the L.W.H. The Rev O. Williams | gave an interesting address on the aims of the Toe H movement and of its rapid growth since its inception during the World War. During the evening Miss Mulvany Gray, Miss M. Menzies and their pupils gave several items, after which a delicious supper was served. A vote of thanks was accorded the Rev O. Williams and Miss Gray.
