“PARIS” IS COMING TO THE CRYSTAL PALACE.
What is claimed to be the first of the really big spectacle musical films is “Paris,” the all-talking picture which serves to introduce to Australian and New Zealand audiences Irene Bordoni. the French actress who Is famed throughout the Continent, England and America, and who. in common with hundreds of other celebrities of the theatre, has been induced to make pictures in Hollywood. “Pa/ds” will be presented next week at Crystal Palace Theatre. Jack Buchanan. the English musical comedy star, plays opposite Mile. Bordoni, and is an admirable foil for her songs, her dances, her prolific comedy settings. There are some unbelievably lavish scenes in “Paris,” some
of them in technicolour. The French ballets, trained by imported masters, the chorus and the players in support of the star are all of outstanding excellence. Already interest has been created among theatre-goers about this picture, and it will be necessary for intending patrons to book seats at The Bristol Piano Company on Thursday morning, when the box plans open.
