JT takes twenty thousand bees, working all the sunshiny hours of one day', to gather sufficient material to manufacture one pound of honey. The pollen patches, they' say', average about a mile from the hives, so the bees must make a round trip of two miles, or forty' thousand miles in all, to produce the pound of honey, Yvhich fills a small jar and sells for about two shillings.
