PHOTOGRAPHER BEFORE COURT IN TEST CASE.
Per Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, May 14. Should a photographer who sets up business and contracts to take a set of six pictures for half a crown, receiving cash before doing the work, be compelled to close his premises on the statutory half-holiday ? This question was submitted to the Magistrate to-day in the prosecution of All.xsrt A. Prescott under the Shops and Offices Act for failing to close on a holiday.. The case is regarded as a test. The Magistrate reserved his decision.
