Discussing the municipal organ to day, after several tests. Mr P. Burras ton. organist at the Civic Theatre, said that its tonal qualtics and volumwould be improved if the “great organ ' was enclosed in swell lx>xes, or even partly enclosed. He did not mean to suggest that the organ was too loud for the hall, but in all present municipal organs, the very strong stops on the “great organ” should be enclosed, in order that they could brought down to the minimum, and be under complete control.
