(United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Received April 3, 11.40 a.m.) NEW YORK, April 3. A message from Oklahoma city states that one of '.he greatest fire hazards has been created there where a nv gusher near the city has been spouting daily for six days, as much as 200,000 barrels of oil, under the impetus of 2,000,000 cubic feet of gas. Oil workers have been unable to control the well, which is one of the most sensa--tional gushers in the history of American petroleum exploitation. The entire area within a mile and a half radius, including many valuable farms, has been abandoned. People are standing waist deep in oii. streams of which have floated as far as ten miles away. All efforts to collar the well have failed and a spark would imperil the city, creating a floating fire. The inhabitants are fleeing from the area. One hundred other wells nearby' have been abandoned. The losses run into many millions.
