BRITAIN'S EXPENDITURE MUCH ABOVE ESTIMATES. LONDON, April l. The national financial vear ended last night with a deficit of £11,523.000, which compares with a surplus of £lB--in the previous year. Revenue totalled £734,189,000. which is £23,915,000 below that of last year and is £12,111,000 less than Mr Winston Churchill's revised estimate of April last. Expenditure amounted to £748 712 - 000, or £9,002.000 more than last year, and £0,748.000 above the Budget estimate.
